August flew by, helped along by some gorgeous sunny weather! It was a busy month, with both Annual Leave and Sickness having a significant impact on our service. As always, this brought its own set of challenges in ensuring all our Service Users received their allocated calls.
A big thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding during this time – your support is truly appreciated.
Now that we’re in September, the kids are back at school and – hopefully – routines are starting to fall back into place.
Here are a few things that have been happening recently:-
Carer of The Month
We recently announced the award winners for July and August as follows:
July 2025 – Sarah was awarded in recognition of her outstanding commitment, dedication, and the exceptional care she provides on a daily basis. She consistently goes above and beyond in her role, approaching every task with a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting others. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Sarah; she takes every challenge in her stride and always puts the needs of the individuals she supports first. Whether it’s stepping in at short notice, staying late to ensure someone is comfortable, or simply going the extra mile to brighten someone’s day, her dedication does not go unnoticed. Sarah is not only a trusted colleague but also a source of inspiration to others. Her work ethic, kindness, and consistent willingness to help wherever needed truly set her apart. She is more than deserving of this recognition.
August 2025 – Ellie has been awarded in recognition for consistently going above and beyond in her role, not only providing excellent care to service users, but also leaving a lasting, positive impression on everyone she interacts with — including those outside of our organisation. Recently, a cleaner who supports one of our service users shared how genuinely pleased she was after Ellie’s visit. She mentioned that Ellie had left everything so tidy and respectful that there was nothing left for her to clean. It may seem like a small gesture, but in care work, attention to detail and respect for a person’s home environment speak volumes about someone’s character and professionalism. This feedback reflects the pride Ellie takes in her work and her understanding that good care goes beyond just tasks, it’s about creating comfort, dignity, and ease for both the service user and those who support them. Ellie’s actions show that she treats every home as if it were her own, and every individual with respect. She represents the values of care, integrity, and excellence in everything she does.
